There are many options you can selecting while creating a CHM
file.

Show chapter number: Show chapter number in the topic
tree.

Show header: Header of the Word document as header of the

Show footer: Footer of the Word document as footer of the
page. [1]

Show navigator: Show page navigator in the page. [1]
·
Show related topics: Create hyperlinks of the related
topics at the end of page. [1]
·
Add index entry: Add index entry to the index of the CHM
file. [1]
·
Cross-reference to hyperlink: Convert cross-references into
hyperlinks. [1]
·
High-Quality Images: Using high-quality images. Require IE
6.0 and Word XP. [1]
·
Show Cover Page: Create a cover page according to the
contents before the first heading. [1]
·
Keep HTML Help Project: Keep the HTML help project files
for later modification. [2]
·
Auto Help Id: Create help Id (Context Id, Topic Id, etc.)
automatically. [2]
·
Merge sub docs: Merge sub documents into master document and
create single CHM. [2]
·
Page filename rule: Rule for the filename of each HTML
page. [2]
·
Max tree level: Restrict the levels of the topic tree. [1]

Merge topic at level: Merge topics at specified outline
